Matt was born in the suburbs of Chicago and grew up in the fields of Illinois. He was blessed with the opportunity to attend Olivet Nazarene University, where he met his wife, had the opportunity to play collegiate soccer, and ultimately grew in his faith.

Shortly after graduating, Matt moved out to the D.C. area, and married his beautiful bride, Laura. They currently reside in NOVA with their pit bull mix puppy Penny. After graduating Matt felt the calling to begin his work in the ministry. He has been obedient in following that call, which has led him to where he is at today. Matt is currently attending seminary and pursuing his Master's Degree in Christian Leadership.

Matt serves as the Embrace Pastor for Fusion Student Ministry. Where he is charged with helping students GO! Elevate the Lord, Engage the World, Embrace the Church, and Enlarge their Faith. Matt also gives oversight to Calvary’s electronic communication through Facebook and Twitter.

Some other things Matt enjoys are; Sports, Music, Hanging with Friends/Family, traveling, and interestingly enough a new found interest in reading.
