Director of Outreach
Jim graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering where he met his wife, Doreen. Upon graduation in 1989, they got married and moved to the Northern Virginia where he has worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office ever since. He has recently been accepted as Senior Executive Service and helps run a Technical Center of 1200 employees. He has two wonderful daughters in their twenties named Melanie and Katelyn and enjoys time with neighbors, musical jamming with co-workers and couple’s bible studies.
Jim has served in many different roles at Calvary Church over the years including preschool teacher, small group leader, small group director, board member, a member of the worship team and helping with all aspects of sound. Jim was the principle lead for a Saturday Night Go venue that was a wonderful experience for three years. Many of Sunday morning’s aspects like stations and discussion around the table were birthed during that time. Jim’s most recent passion has been to build connections with the community at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) including International Friends (IF), Intervarsity and Catalyst. He is excited to see how God will continue to reach the Northern Virginia community and the world for Christ.
