Who Are We?

A Church for Northern Virginia. A Family Following Jesus.

Calvary Church of the Nazarene is a community of people learning what it means to follow Jesus, grow together, and live on mission.

Located in the heart of Northern Virginia, we believe the church is more than a building we gather in on Sunday. It is a family of people who worship together, grow in faith together, serve one another, and carry the love of Jesus into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and community.

We aren't a church full of perfect people, and we're not looking for them. We're people at different places in our faith journey who are discovering the grace of God and learning to become more like Jesus every day.

We Love God.

Everything begins with Jesus. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

We gather to worship Him, open His Word, pray, and grow in our relationship with Him. We believe following Jesus isn't simply about what we believe on Sunday; it's about allowing Him to shape who we are every day.

We Love Others.

Faith was never meant to be lived alone. (John 13:34-35)

We believe life is better together, and we want Calvary to be a place where people are known, valued, encouraged, and challenged to grow. From children and students to young families, adults, and seniors, we are committed to being a church where generations can worship, serve, and grow together.

We Love Our Community.

We believe the church is called to GO! (Matthew 28:18-20)

Northern Virginia is our home, and we want to be a church that makes a difference right here where God has placed us. We partner with schools, organizations, families, and community leaders to meet real needs and demonstrate the love of Jesus in practical ways.

Our mission field isn't somewhere else. It's here.

We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Annandale, Fairfax, Northern Virginia, and beyond: serving our neighbors, building relationships, sharing hope, and inviting people into the life-changing story of Jesus.

Becoming More Like Jesus

As a Church of the Nazarene, we are part of a global Christian family committed to making Christlike disciples in the nations.

At the heart of our tradition is the belief that God's grace doesn't simply forgive us, it transforms us. We believe the Holy Spirit is at work in us, shaping our character, our relationships, and the way we live so that we increasingly reflect Jesus in the world around us.

That's the kind of church we want to be.

And ultimately, a church where Jesus is at the center of it all.
